US 191 bridge to finish mid next week

Grooving delayed

The Big Sky Bridge Decks project continues next week, and crews will be active on Columbus Day, Oct. 12.

Bridge deck grooving has been postponed due to the unavailability of the subcontractor performing this work. Both bridges will remain set up for single-lane traffic and grooving will occur next week, beginning Monday. Flaggers may be in place assisting with travel during this process.

On the bridge by Little Coyote Road, crews will groove the deck later in the week and remove equipment. Final painting of road lines is anticipated the week of Oct. 19. Once complete, traffic is expected to open to both lanes.

On US 191 bridge, grooving will occur early in the week and traffic will be open to both lanes mid week.

Loads wider than 11 feet must find an alternate route and drivers are reminded to drive slow through construction areas.
