WHAT'S NEW AT THE FOOD BANK

THANK YOU—A catastrophe was averted this week, thanks to the quick action of employees from the Country Market, Alpine Property Management and Buck’s T4. When the Country Market’s freezers went down briefly this weekend, the team was able to save the frozen turkeys by moving them to Buck’s to be smoked in their smoker. Buck’s seasoned, smoked, sliced and packaged them into individual meals for the food bank, whose clients are often in need of easily prepared dinners. Now, they’re in for a treat! Thank you to all involved, and especially to Dean Nally for delivering these donations.

WISH LIST—Heading into this spring, we’re down to about 7,000 pounds of food donations due to the postponement of Turkey for a Ticket. That translates into about four-months-worth of food for Big Sky clients. Right now, we’re in desperate need of meal-style soups to fill bellies during the flu season, which can be easily prepared in a microwave.
